It’s Murphy’s Law isn’t it!

It’s the weekend and you FINALLY have some time to play in the garden. You wake early and spritely, your day is planned, you have even collected all the materials you need, ready to get the most out of your day……..and then…..

I know, I know “check the forecast,” you say….. well I don’t know about you, but my trust & relationship with weather forecasters needs some work. All too often we plan a wet day (ie. “don’t water the garden…it’s raining tomorrow”) and it never comes to fruition, or it conveniently misses our farm….. today I regret the trust issues.

For us, it was a farm day! We were to make the chooks new straw beds, get the veggie gardens ready with our compost, local horse poo and mushie compost mix. We struck our veggie seeds 5 weeks ago and are keen to get them in the ground in the coming weeks so this weekend was soil prep weekend! Grrrr….. The view from our kitchen sink is a constant reminder of the work we have to look forward to….. and now to the board games. Seed you soon!
